… youse almost lost me … expect sporadic postings over the next week … seriously ill … forgot to drink water …
but not as ill as Bob Moog. :(
RIP Bob.
other crap news: not a single CasioNova song has EVER been accepted by the micromusic.net peeps. okay its official: micromusic.net sucks! (or maybe I suck?) not only is the layout way too busy and hard to understand, I get flamed when I go onto it for ’stealing’ the CasioNova name … WTF??? … the only other casionova is a crap guitar band in the USA.
okay okay, I don’t make songs on a laptop that sound like Commodore64 game music – if I use a Commodore64 I strap it on and stick it through a distortion pedal. Not that I use c64s anymore – just pure (through distortion pedals) lo-tech lo-bit micro-chip casios. Micromusic my foot! Micromusic can be more than ONE genre, micromusic is about the tools and the rationale not about sandshoes. So if anyone wants a micromusic.net alternative then keep your eyes on this blog … where all the micromusic extremists will soon be hanging.
but for the good news:
I noticed the fabled Behringer stomp boxes aren’t vaporware! A few had just come into a Gold Coast music store, albeit the dull ones (various overdrives), and looks like the $50 gated reverb isn’t far away! Ultra cheap, potentially crap, music equipment – thats exactly what we like.
