A year late and Adobe release Flash9 for Linux. Which means that as of last week I can get sound in YouTube and MySpace. So now I can see what all the fuss is about with online video and hear the music of all the bands that ‘friend’ me in MySpace.
A search for ‘Casio’ in YouTube produces mainly dweeby home videos of people fooling with Casios. I’ve seperated the Casio goodness and my Casio picks from YouTube are under the fold.
here’s a US casio ad for the casio mt-100
another US ad, this time for the SK-1. super daggy.
The film clip for the Trio song with the title so long I can’t be bothered typing it. AWESOME clip with beautiful and funny Casio VL-1 usage. (the second shot and the B&W images are wonderful). Random ultra violence in the middle of the clip just adds to the charm!
Fantastic song done entirely on the Casio MT-68 by Italian electro-pop stars Krisma. The best use of a Casio in history. Period.
well except for…
Salt N’ Pepper performing Push It live! It doesn’t get better than this. Casio connection? Extensive use of the Casio CZ-101
Next up is gratuitous Casio footage with Human League miming on Top Of the Pops circa 1995 (Phil with haircut).
lastly we have the news, brought to you by O Samuli A that Casiomatik - my Casio hero in Finland is as of a couple of weeks ago and after many years, PLAYING AGAIN!!! thank you Casiomatik, Samuli and YouTube!
footage and sound is dodgy but gives you an idea of his brilliant sound - also check out the other clips that Samuli has
made and posted on YouTube. Beautiful stuff.
